Happy New Year!! Where have I been?! What’s new?!

Wow! I cannot believe how long it has been since I dedicated some time to my blog. It is actually pretty shocking that my last post was back in May 2016 and for that my loves I am sorry! Life has been pretty hectic the last few months…we moved house and got married! Trust me planning a wedding was no easy task and in order to dedicate the time to it I needed to sacrifice some things and my blog became one of those.

I struggled over the last few months with thoughts of whether the blogging game was for me. There are times when I felt that no matter what I did it would never be good enough and my content was nothing that hadn’t been done before. I started my blog back in 2014 and since then I have to admit that my motivation and commitment to it has wavered over the years. I am the reason why my blog/YouTube maybe hasn’t taken off in the way in which I would have liked and sometimes it is hard to admit to yourself that you need to do better.

With Women’s Marches taking place across the world yesterday it has left me feeling inspired. Inspired to the best me I can be… not just in blogging but in life in general. Do more and be more. As a woman, I know I am going to have to fight for more – if I want something go for it, don’t be held back by anything or anyone.

Although I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions (mainly because I always break them) – it is nice to see the New Year as a blank page in a new chapter of your life, a chapter that you can fill with whatever you want and whatever has come before no longer matters, only the present. So here I am starting this new chapter and making a decision to continue with blogging/vlogging but instead of feeling like I have to conform to how I think it should be or how I think others would like me to be, I am going to do what comes naturally. I am going to write about what I like, when I like, how I like. It is time to inject a bit of personality into this bad boy.

My name is Ellouise, an awkward, Buffy loving, cat obsessed, newly married 28 year old woman.

Let’s do this :)
